Did you miss me?

Well it's been over a year since I last wrote a blog post. That's been due to how busy I've been, which is wonderful. I was on-set Accent Coach on a film for Sky called The Last Train to Christmas, working predominantly with a hero of mine, Cary Elwes (star of the best film ever The Princess Bride, among many many others), plus a couple of other films called Nightjars and The Performance. I worked briefly with the lead, Emma Appleton on the BBC adaptation of Dolly Alderton's novel Everything I Know About Love (did you see it? Sublime!) and also on several theatre shows including Holes at The Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds, Jane Eyre at the Stephen Joseph Theatre Scarborough, The Great Gatsby Immersive Experience in London and Making A Murderer The Musical, currently taking the Edinburgh Fringe by storm.

I've also been working constantly with individual students, which is really wonderful as I get to meet new people all the time and help them achieve goals they weren't sure were in range. Lately though the cost of living crisis has hit without a doubt, and many of my regulars have had to become less regular, if not pause their sessions altogether.

So if you were looking to book a session, now would be a good time! I'm still busy, but I'm much more likely to have last minute availability - that is until mid-September when I'll be putting my acting shoes on for the first time in three and a half years...

Email me at alixjdunmore@hotmail.com for more details of my rates and availability. And good luck to you all in this hot, skint country.
