Rehearsals are my favourite. I don't know why, but I know I'm not the only actor to feel this way. Maybe it's that we're free to fail without the pressure of a paying audience. There's usually been a lot of laughter in each rehearsal room I've been in.
I'm currently rehearsing a play called 'Bodies', which will be on at the Southwark Playhouse from February 13th to March 9th. The accent? My own; which I very rarely do, so come along and enjoy! It was written in the 70s by James Saunders and it's a wonderfully funny and uncomfortable piece about marriage, heartbreak, betrayal and the ways in which we come to terms with those things.
